MPDAWellbeing Service
Wellbeing Service What's Involved?
MPDA are excited to announce that The National Lottery Community Fund have awarded MPDA funding to deliver a new Community Wellbeing Project. This project will begin on Monday 16th of February 2026 in MPDA Community Hub. MPDA will be providing a range of wellbeing services each week, that will aim to support those most in need to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
MPDA’s wellbeing initiative first began in 2023 as part of the PHA’s NICHI (Networks Involving Communities in Health Improvement) Programme. This service delivered successful outcomes within the local community and emphasised the need for a larger scale wellbeing programme.Through support from The National Lottery Community Fund, MPDA will now be able to effectively develop this Wellbeing Programme through the provision of one to one and group services for both adults and children. These services will aim to reduce isolation, improve self-esteem and empower individuals to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
A referral system is currently in place for this service. This includes self-referral. Therefore, if you or someone you know is interested in receiving wellbeing support through MPDA, please contact us for more details.
